Sesan Olufowobi The Executive Chairman of the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board, Dr Ganiyu Sopeyin, says public schools have been showing greater quality. He explained that statistics available showed that the level of education in the state was improving, adding that public schools in the state would continue to achieve competitive advantage. A statement on Sunday said Sopeyin spoke after public primary school pupils in Lagos (Team Lagos) came third at the 56th Independence Anniversary Inter-SUBEB Schools Debate Championship in Minna, Niger State. At the event, which was organized by the Universal Basic Education Commission, in collaboration with the President’s Schools Debate Nigeria, Sopeyin also emerged the Best Performing SUBEB Chairman in the South-West.
